The multimedia studio at the DAV

Welcome to the studio of the Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung e.V. (DAV) and Deutsche Aktuar-Akademie (DAA), the multimedia production facility for the actuarial profession, the finance and insurance industry and associations and societies in Cologne and the surrounding area. Supported by the AMC – Actuarial Media Center team, all video and event projects are professionally planned, produced and finalized throughout the media production process.

The premises offer flexible video sets with a full live control room and a spacious guest area, which can also be used for photo shoots and seminars. We offer a wide range of setting and layout options for large and small recording projects (greetings and addresses, presentations, panel discussions etc.) through to live stream productions lasting several days with on-site and remote speakers.

The technical set-up:

  • 2 settings for 2-4 people each standing and sitting (adjustable)
  • 4 remote-controlled cameras
  • Sound mixer and 4 clip-on and 1 handheld microphone
  • Lighting system with studio lighting and color spots
  • Recording & live streaming software; video editing
  • Versatile software package with additional features for smooth production (preview monitors, clicker, speaker countdown, tablet control)
  • Videos calls via Zoom
  • Mobile video set for making-of recordings
  • Guest room with program screen and make-up area; catering possible

Previous projects:

Since the studio opened in February 2024, numerous projects have been carried out for the German and international actuarial community:

  • Live production of CONVENTION A | Europe (2 days)
  • Digital press conferences of DAV and IVS
  • Recording of a video series of the DAV Investment Committee "DENK SICHT"
  • "Sustainability im Fokus" - highlight event of DAV and DAA (1 day)
  • Further recordings for the specialist committees of the DAV
